MATTHEW MEDNEY is the bestselling author of Beyond Kuiper, Above the Ground, Stable, The Fifth Force, and Remnant, among others. He is the former CEO of Heavy Metal Magazine.
Matt is the CEO of Hero Projects as well as the co-lead writer for all of its content. A true entrepreneur who is always thinking of the bigger picture. Matt is also the Head Writer of the Web3 Phenomenon Game: Star Atlas, and a bestselling author.
Jonathan Ball
Writer & Story
JONATHAN BALL is the owner of Stranger Fiction, a publisher that develops its own stories and also provides creative services to other independent publishers and producers.
He has won numerous awards for his many books, and holds a PhD with twin focuses in Creative Writing and Canadian Literature. He lives in Winnipeg, where he teaches serious writers what the MFA didn’t.
Jonathan hosts a podcast for writers called Writing the Wrong Way and writes a regular newsletter called Strange Ink that features original fiction and poetry, tips for writers, and thoughts on making a career as a creative person.

GMB CHOMICHUK is an award-winning writer and illustrator whose work has appeared in comics, graphic novels, books, role-playing games, film, television, and theatre. He is also the host of Super Pulp Science, a podcast about how genre gets made.
Gregory’s work in words and pictures ranges from the heartwarming to the bloodcurdling. Scott B. Henderson

SCOTT B. HENDERSON (he/him) is a freelance illustrator, whose reputation of cultural sensitivity and an openness to listen and learn has garnered a large body of work in collaboration with Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ communities. A graduate of the University of Manitoba’s School of Fine Art, Scott has worked on dozens of graphic novels and other illustrated works, including colouring and lettering, storyboards and conceptual art, mentoring emerging comic artists, and graphic novel workshops. His work spans several critically acclaimed graphic novels, including The Reckoner Rises (Indigenous superheroes), A Girl Called Echo (Métis history), A Blanket of Butterflies (2016 Eisner Nomination), a short story in Marvel Voices: Pride #1 (2022), and a post-apocalypse graphic novel, Last Breeds (2025). Scott is a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and resides in Winnipeg, MB with his partner.
Zach Schuster

ZACH SCHUSTER is an illustrator from Calgary, Alberta. He graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2018 with a Bachelor of Design.
Schuster makes comics, like THRUD: Volume I and illustrates board games, like Drinking Quest: Old Habits.

Lyndon Radchenka
Letters & Design
LYNDON RADCHENKA is a writer, award-winning letterer, and (sometimes, but not-right-now) lawyer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He became active in the comic convention scene in 2013 and was quickly enchanted by the passion and support of the indie comics community.
Radchenka released his first full comic, Infinite Universe, with Steven Kaul in 2018, followed by his second book, What Will Not Last, in 2019. As a comics letterer, Radchenka has put his name to too many projects to list, but you may have seen his work in The Eye Collector, alongside Jonathan Ball and G.M.B. Chomichuk. In 2020 he won the Sequential Magazine Award for “Favourite Letterer.”
